Gig Harbor Boat Works also sells pre-cut oars for the Forward Facing Rowing System. These oars have a Handle Section 30” in length and the Blade Section is 72”.Our oars are prime vertical-grade Canadian spruce made in Canada. Spruce oars have much lighter physical weight than hardwood oars. These are spoon-bladed oars, which transfer more power to the water than flat oars.

Building these oars allows our oar maker to utilize short spruce sections that would normally be scrapped, which is why we can pass along a much better price on these. Although our price for these oars is only $195 per pair, the typical price for one-piece oars of this style and quality is $250-300 per pair.
